Study in the USA: Introducing BIWPA’s new orientation service

Designed to help water polo players attend college in the US with the best scholarship

Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA) has launched an orientation service to help water polo players take their university studies in the United States.

This guidance is aimed at passionate water polo players from all over Spain and also from the rest of the world with aspirations to take their professional career to another level, while they continue to enjoy water polo in a competitive and attractive environment.

BIWPA's main goal is to coordinate the entire process in order to find the best option for the student, achieving the perfect balance between the scholarship offered by the university, athletics and academics.

How does BIWPA help you?

At BIWPA we have a team of specialists with extensive knowledge of varsity water polo. Through our Sports Director, Quim Colet, we have direct contact with the coaches of the most prestigious universities.

Since 2014, BIWPA has been increasing its presence in the United States year after year and currently has the necessary resources to give maximum visibility to interested players.

More and more water polo players decide to study in the US. That is why at BIWPA we want to accompany all these athletes to fulfill their dream.

Why the United States?

Attending university in North America is a unique opportunity that goes far beyond the academics, where student-athletes experience a great personal growth and prepare their future career.

Higher education in the US has an excellent international reputation and offers academic excellence combined with a sports system admired around the world.

How does it work?

The process always begins with the family submitting a form and a first contact between a BIWPA specialist, the family and the student, in order to provide a tailored guidance.

The service is aimed at 15-year-old students onwards and is already available on the website, only in Spanish for the moment.
